Leicester Print Workshop
Leicester Print Workshop (LPW) is the regional development centre for printmaking and printmakers. LPW’s RIBA award-winning building in Leicester City Centre is home to a large, well equipped printmaking Studio (for silkscreen, stone and plate lithography, etching, engraving, relief and letterpress), alongside a Gallery, Shop, Education Space, Framing Room, Project Space and 9 Artist Studios. As well as our annual in house programme of curated exhibitions, workshops, events, family drop in activity and professional development training, LPW also has a long history of working strategically with communities, festivals, schools and colleges to introduce printmaking to new audiences.

What We Offer
We are planning to reopen to the public from September 2020, and we are happy to discuss bespoke activity with schools in line with our and their Covid-19 safety requirements.
Leicester Print Workshop offers workshops to school and colleges throughout the Midlands region, as well as lifelong learning opportunities, including professional development for teachers. We can set up classrooms up as mini print studios and work with students of any age and ability. These workshops can be specifically tailored to your requirements to link in with artists, specific areas of curriculum and project themes, or to support coursework, the development of a portfolio or for an arts week activity.
Choose from techniques such as drypoint, monoprint, linocut, collagraph, screenprinting, letterpress or a combination of the techniques.
One day workshops for up to 30 students: fees approx £400.
“Our students enjoy working with the superb tutors and learn a variety of techniques to aid experimentation and development for their GCSE coursework.”
