I'm an arts-based practitioner and theatre-maker with a specialism in working alongside audiences labelled as having complex needs. I work as a guest lecturer with students in all tiers of HE and offer specialist mentoring in sensory theatre.
What We Offer
Within special schools, I can provide customised sessions according to need and have at least 200 that I can pull off the shelf. I specialise in PSHE education and have many sessions that explore environmental education. Most useful to schools in recent times have been helping teachers to structure sessions in the special needs classroom that enable students to experience a richly emotional narrative whilst distinguishing between fiction and reality. Such training sessions model how to use sound, action and light to create a micro theatre. This can be used 1:1 or with a larger group of up to 8 students.
