Anthony Ekundayo Lennon
I’ve been working professionally as a theatre practitioner for 35 years (Actor, Writer, Story teller/Assistant/Co/Director/Resident Director) and since the 1990’s have been a public speaker, well-being workshops facilitator and delivered training/led sessions in the UK and USA in relation to ‘race’, identity and culture. As associate director at Talawa Theatre Company (Artistic Director Leadership Programme) I underwent an 18-month residency, preparing for future artistic director collaborations. I co-lead mentoring on Open Art Surgery & Back to the Lab for Breakin’ Convention, work with actors in training around the UK and have worked in prisons/young offender institutions and with SEN students.
What We Offer
I deliver sessions teaching acting, directing, story-telling, spoken word and play writing. I also have considerable experience of leading the delivery of positive self-esteem, self-reflection and/or the exploration of subjects such as identity, 'race' and culture for young people and adults. Theses sessions include discussion, role-play, improvisation, movement, drama games and exercises, script reading/writing and visiting stage productions (plays, dance, poetry and art installations). I also have experience delivering media/film literacy work with media students and film-makers.
