'JUST DOING IT' : Learning Through Movement and Dance
Activity Description
A light touch CPD session around kinaesthetic learning - learning through movement - lead by a professional dance practitioner.
Discover how to introduce new topics, visualise subjects, grasp concepts and measure the degree to which your students have absorbed them through a creative, engaging approach suited to any aspect of the curriculum.
Also discover your inner choreographer, by focussing less on ‘how to dance’ and more on ‘how dance works’: hear tips and tricks for helping your students develop routines and whole dances from many starting points, including how to make effective music choices.
Substantial, varied pack of simple written materials supplied (1 per school).

Louise is one of the UKs leaders in dance, by for and with disabled people. Happy to engage with teachers of children with any kind of SEND in mainstream or Special Schools. Special Schools are advised that a visit to school and short telephone or face to face meeting are advisable for Special schools. Rates for this negotiable depending on time needed.
