Printmaking Workshop

Activity Description

Leicester Print Workshop is a large open access studio in central Leicester that houses equipment for silkscreen, stone and plate lithography, etching, engraving, relief and letterpress. We offer a wide range of opportunities for schools to learn and experience printmaking. Inspired by our exhibitions programme, children have the opportunity to visit the workshop, meet and explore the work of artists and crafts people and gain insights into the professional arts world. Our workshops give children the opportunity to develop creative and communication skills that are essential for success in 21st century life, while creating their own prints and exhibitions. All of our work is cross curricular and comes with the opportunity to achieve Arts Award Discover or Explore.
